Maybe I'll just take this as an opportunity to bounce around and rent a townhouse or apartment for a while. Try out a few different things.

Taking the bus into work would be nice. Not really a fan of driving to begin with. Riding a bike into work would be even better.

I've considered Broomfield, Lafayette, Louisville, and Longmont but was worried about it being too suburban and family oriented. Oh well, guess you can't have it all. The last piece of info. that may be relevant is the commute from my current house to my new job will be about 50 minutes.

Thanks again for the help. You guys are the best!
Moreso than Boulder and Denver, yes. Of the four, I'd suggest Broomfield or Longmont. I live in Louisville, and about the only single women here are single moms. Lafayette is similar. The other two are larger, hence more diverse.

Try north of Boulder; Niwot, Gun Barrel you could spend a lot less time commuting.

For what it's worth, Lafeyette has a pretty good restaurant selection and is <20 min from Boulder.

As far as students go, you'll avoid most of them as long as long you're north of Pearl st or west of 28th or South of baseline or so. I.e. avoid the Hill area if you want to be away from students.

It might be cliquey but probably no more so than any other affluent city. In my experience the primary "cliques" are the super-liberal/vegan/artist crowd, potheads, and those obsessed with an outdoor sport (biking, skiing, running, climbing, etc). The majority of people there aren't into one those extremes so you should get along fine.

Commuting from Denver everyday would blow. As someone who lives in Golden, that's probably too far as well (93 is a single lane most of the way).
