bluescreen73 - good to hear all about your success story. Often the simplest approach is a winner. I think podiatrists are often downplayed because they aren't a "medical doctor'...they don't have "M.D." after their name. Yet I have heard of many excellent treatments and healings from people who have used a podiatrist.

Here is an excerpt from Wikipedia about podiatrists:

"In the United States, Doctors of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) are doctors who practice on the lower extremities, primarily on feet and ankles.[3] The preparatory education of most podiatrists includes four years of undergraduate work, followed by four years in an accredited podiatric medical school, followed by a three or four-year hospital-based surgical residency. Podiatrists are licensed in all 50 states." A podiatrist spends between 11-12 years in training to become a foot and ankle doctor/surgeon. As for my foot issue, I felt that going to an orthopedic doctor would have been 'overkill', more or less.

Just don't skip leg day at the gym, LOL.
I didn't. Fortunately I only developed hip pain the last 2-3 weeks I was in the boot and it subsided within a couple weeks of taking the boot off. I think I tried to do too much the first month even with the boot on. I really leaned on the boot and actually ended up breaking it. Thankfully it had a 6-month warranty so the company replaced it for free. After that I changed my gait so I wouldn't abuse the boot as much.
