Since most of the discussion of bars and nightlife here tends to center on the 30yo's (if that old), I have to ask - where's a good zone for your doddering elders (mid-50s) to hang out and meet women?

I will be visiting Denver for a few days early next month on a house-buying trip, and I have no plans at all for my evenings. Newly single after 20 years (and had only a few solo stretches since 20). Not a barhopper. Not comfortable having to travel after an evening of light drinks and food. I'd like to stay somewhere with a fairly busy bar/lounge/restaurant, maybe with a few others in the area, with a clientele in the 40s-50s. Towards the airport is best, as I am looking for a house in the northeastern arc and have an early flight home.

Boring old sh*t, I know, even for a graying longhair who looks a lot cooler. But I'd rather not waste my time in a total dead zone, either.

Suggestions?

Not as much the driving after socializing as just... having to get home. I always hated that part.

The stewardesses used to be older, back when they were stewardesses. Or did you mean the secret nightclub for the officers of the NWO?

Thanks for all suggestions. I will figure it all out or just spend my evenings contemplating life in the bottom of a Knob Creek glass. (Have to find the perfect local brew to back that... could take much experimentation...)

This. I've found that the crowd at most of the breweries is generally older.
