My cousin, her boyfriend and her toddler (age 3, very well-behaved) are flying in New Year's Day to go skiing in the mountains. I took them to Snooze last year for lunch and they LOVED it (and still bring it up in conversation a year later, lol - both work in food service). However, I'm worried it will be insanely crowded on New Year's Day. I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on where we could get lunch, probably around 1 pm.

Same family also loved Colorado Plus brewery, which I would take them to, but I know they will be starving after they get off the plane and want to pick someplace closer to the airport if possible.

Any ideas?

I generally wouldn't think any place would be crowded on New Year's Day until at least early dinner time.

I always take bottled water and something snacky with me when picking people up at the airport. Both are usually gone before I can get to the parking payment gate.

Oh yeah. I bring a bottle of water no matter what and order whoever gets off the plane to drink whether they want to or not. I can be quite the bully, but nobody has gotten a headache.

But I'm not picking them up - they're renting a car and meeting me somewhere. The toddler needs a special seat and all that.

I'll call around, I guess.

What about Stanley Marketplace? Close to the airport and there is a Denver Biscuit Co and a few other options.

Stanley Marketplace
2501 Dallas St, Aurora, CO 80010

Another option would be Tavern in Lowry. Rarely busy, but relatively close to the airport. We opt to go there when some of the more popular places are packed.

Tavern Lowry
7401 E 1st Ave, Denver, CO 80230
