Been a while since I've been to town. Now that the train runs to the airport, I'd like to use it to get to Tech Center. Seems I need to transfer at Union Station, correct?

Ultimately I need to get to/from the Airport and Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center. I can hoof it from the Belleview station to the Hyatt so I guess I need ticket from Airport to Union Station and then from Union Station to Belleview? Any tips to make this a smooth trip to/from? It will be during the work week - normal hours.

From the Belleview Station you can either take the E Line to Union Station and transfer to the A Line there or take the R Line and get on the A Line at Peoria and I-70.

From the airport take the A line 3 stops to Peoria station (about 20 minutes)
transfer to R line south to Belleview station (about 41 minutes) - hotel is about 1/2 mile east - 15 minute walk.

If the weather's nasty or you are carrying a lot, the hotel has a shuttle bus and you could give them a call to see if they will pick you up from the Belleview station

we just took lite rail to/from DIA. Here are my thoughts:
-get the RTD iPhone/Android app. you can pull up a ticket while the plane is de-planing. Put all your info in but don't confirm. If you are not asked to verify a ticket don't confirm the purchase.
-your ticket will be ~$10.50 ea one way. Once purchased the ticket is good for a whole day of public transport any where RTD rolls.
-Denver is not NYC and things are not well marked so be prepared to ask passengers and staff but easy obvious to board the A line from the DIA airport. Once on board remember to confirm only if there is RTD staff verifying tickets and there usually is. The A Line takes about 50 minuites to Union Station. There will be several well announced stops but the ride terminates at Union Station.
-exit the A line train at union station and head to your lite rail train. In our case it was the C Line. You will have to walk about 2 city blocks under ground. again not obvious where the stairs are that descends into the under ground walk way. Walk under ground THE COMPLETE DISTANCE OF THE UNDERGROUND, you are walking underground west (towards the mountains). You will exit the underground up to the area where the lite rail trains are. We got on the C Line LiteRail and it took us home and safe.
-The location of the lite rail station vs your hotel should be on on the the iPhone "Maps" application so you can decide if you want to walk or ride. We un-boarded the C line lite rail Lite Rail and had to walk a block to our home. Usually Denver is dry and sunshine so its nice to be outside anyways, ck the weather report. you can use Lyft to pick you up from the lite rail station to the hotel so download the Lyft app for the iPhone or call your hotel and they can pick you up from the lite rail station.
-you can call RTD (303) 299-6000 and they will give you exact rail and bus times and details. They can direct you to the appropriate RTD ticket & RTD aware gps mapping applications for Denver.

enjoy your travels!!
