No more than when I cook in my gas oven, which is to say, not at all.

Propane is a heavy gas and in the city I am cautious if this propane were to settle into an alley way or between houses.
Most of the time there is a small amount of gas remaining in the tank.
This is due to temperature of the tank
or
how low pressure can the tank side of a weber grill gas regulator go before it cuts off. After that seems there is a one way valve in the tank so you can't empty the tank directly to the air. Even if you wanted to do this.

i was talking to a peep who said there is a propane tank dealer about Alamedia & Clay, the N side of Alamedia?

Ill likely give the empty tanks to the trash scavengers when I see them in the spring. One tank is quite old, the others are maybe 5yr
Either way I am happy they are empty now.
