Sorry, I didn't see this when I made my previous reply. Thanks!

To add to it, I have a job offer for a company in Lakewood near 6th Ave & Kipling. I was hoping to find neighborhoods within decent commuting range (car) that would fit the bill for mature trees and/or thick canopy cover. Something to keep it cool and block out the sun.

Thanks for the replies so far, they have been very helpful!

Applewood would be a good choice. Or solterra or green mountain, or golden...

Most trees here were planted.

Louisville, particularly Old Town, has lots of trees.

Why would I? I live close by and see the Hogback all the time. I don’t click random links.

Well then you shouldn't mislead the OP and say there is a canopy of trees there when in reality it is a new subdivision that overlooks pretty bare foothills.
