The vast majority of days in COLO SPGS are "mostly sunny" days.
Fort Collins is 100 miles to the north and maybe that makes a difference. But our typical thunderstorm pattern is more along the lines of clear in the morning, partly cloudy by noon, a big gray wall of clouds over the city by 2:00, a lot of wind and lightning/thunder and a small amount of rain between 4 and 7, and then cloudy the rest of the evening. At least half of the warm season days fall into this pattern and I put them squarely in the partly cloudy category. It’s not a pattern I enjoy much but it could be worse (in fact it has been much worse this year).

That was my perception, although I'm only in my third summer here (August 2017 - part of a summer).

It just seems... relentless sometimes.

Snowed in the mountains the past two days.
Summery weather - and SUNSHINE - is on the way this week.
Guess I should have used the <sarcasm> tag.

We're actually getting more yard work done. It's tolerable to be outside and the ground is not like concrete - much easier to dig and/or pull weeds. Not to mention buying new plants with the $ we're saving on water and a/c.

However, you can't do anything like cut grass or trim weeds when they're soaking wet. Even cutting up clippings and such is a mess when they're not dry.

Looks like we're in for a dry spell, though, maw.

Yes, bring in on! I’m into weather that is good for people rather then some ridiculous non-native grass that doesn’t belong here.
