You've won the Alen Iverson sweepstakes.

How do the Denver faithful feel about getting AI? IMHO he represents all that's wrong with the NBA and sports society in general. As you might guess I'm not a big fan of AI.

Anyway thought it might be nice to talk about something other than the droves of people moving out of SoCal to CO. Of which I'm included.

I'm not a big NBA fan in general, prefer college hoops, but I'll be following the Nuggets closer now. yur right that hes not a model citizen but i think he may be the exception bad-boy player in major sports that i really like. kinda like Sir Charles Barkley in that he wasnt a role model, but you had to respect him anyway for his straight forwardness. Its hard not to like AIs' playing. hes fantastic.

You are right! I have to give it to AI regarding his style of play. Everything else, I'll take a pass.

Barkley on the other hand is very straight forward like you said, however to my knowledge he was never locked up for a bowling alley brawl where AI injured a girl and needed John Tompson to beg Virginia Governer to grant him clemency.. Then(after college) get charged and convicted for illegal weapons charge and involvment with drug deals...and probably a laundry list of other things the NBA has clean up for him that we'll never know about.

However, I will again admit my hypocrisy and say he is one of the more exciting players in the league to watch. Still, I'd prefer not to be his neighbor not that I'll be in that tax bracket any time soon.

Just watched a full Nuggets game last night (or was it the night before? but anyway...) against the Celtics on TV. That was the first time I've done that! AI is really amazing! Yep, I'm glad he's here.

I caught some of the highlights of that game. No question he'll sell tickets.
