One where you can buy a full range of standard grocery items and brands. I like Spouts but I also go to King Soopers to buy many items that Sprouts doesn't sell, or only sells in a very expensive organic/natural brand.

Your bubble notwithstanding, there are only 4 Whole Foods in Denver, and 6 if you stretch the location to include Belmar and Glendale. And even once you start going further out into the suburbs, there are still only a few more. So yes, I would say a handful of those, 2 Marczyks, 3 Tony's Markets, 6 Trader Joe's for the whole state.

Exceptional would be Tony’s Meat Markets.

As in exceptionally not good.
Low quality vegetables. (I once bought a Yukon Gold potato and it was sweet because it had been refrigerated.)
Expensive, overpriced everything.
Very limited selection.

I have a Vitamin Cottage within 2 blocks of my house and don't even count it as a supermarket.
