Does anyone have any opinions on what neighborhoods I should be researching? Work will be located near the 70/270 interchange; a 30 min (or less) commute would be ideal. Thanks for giving me a sounding board. I appreciate any advice you care to share. Sincerely, soon-to-be-ex-so. cal gal (hopefully)
Denver Metro area actually doesn't have a lot of large-lot properties. Very few, in fact, until you get far outside the metro area. Our suburbs tend to be packed tightly, and the city even more tightly. Your work is in the east-northeast side of the metro area, so your best bet of finding something like you describe in 30 minutes might be to look further out that direction, onto the great plains to the east - northeast of your job (Brighton might be a good place to start, although getting to work from there in 30 minutes is pushing it).

You may be thinking of living in the mountains, but unfortunately your work location won't allow you to live in the mountains and still have less than 30 minute commute.
