I'm travelling later this year and looks like I will be making a connecting flight in Denver with a layover of about 50 minutes to change planes. The airline is Southwest.

Is 50 minutes enough time generally or should I be looking at ways to increase the layover time or look at other flights?

As someone who lives in Denver and visits the airport once a year, I say that you should ask you question on a travel forum.

As long as you're switching between Southwest flights that will be more than enough time. All of Southwest's gates are in Concourse C. It's the smallest of the 3 concourses at the airport.

Get a seat at the front of the plane and you should be fine, I've had tighter connections with United and had no problem, just a little jog.

I fly in and out of DIA weekly. I used to fly SW, so very familiar with that terminal. 50 minutes is fine but not much margin for error. As others have stated, make sure you get a seat in the front of your inbound flight. Pay for A List or be alright with a middle seat. If you’re in C group boarding, you may get forced to check a bag if you’re trying to carry on or be stuck in the back of the plane.

It's fine, at most you will have a walk of just over 5 minutes. Their flights tend to be fairly on time so I wouldn't worry too much. The only issue with Southwest is the boarding begins 30 minutes before a flight so if you don't arrive on time you might not get a good seat on the next flight.

50 Minutes is mostly fine as Southwest in consolidated in Terminal C. If you were switching between terminals, I'd say 50 minutes could be cutting it close. If there is an outbound delay on Southwest into the connecting flight in DEN, then 50 minutes could easily be jeopardized.
