Hello,

I recently received a job offer in Colorado Springs; however, my mom lives in Aurora. What is a good middle town? I rather rent my first year.

My preferences:

Shopping/mall nearby
Town activities
Some diversity
Younger crowd under 50
A nice place for a single man

Do you mind how long or how awful your daily commute to work will be by not living in Colorado Springs? How often do you visit your Mom?

What is your housing budget?

Castle Rock, but you should really live in the Springs. The commute is awful.

Monument. I would not go further north because the construction is just too awful. But really you should just live in the Springs. It is not that far from mom unless you're trying to visit her daily.

Monument is nice so is Palmer Lake, but no diversity, no mall, no night life and not really great if you’re single. IMHO.

Live in the Springs and drive up 85 to Aurora.

Nothing between Colo Spgs and Aurora fit 3 of the 5 criteria. This doesn't really exist in that range; Some diversity, Younger crowd under 50, A nice place for a single man.

Castle Rock can provide Shopping/mall nearby and Town activities.

Douglas County is whiter and more conservative than nearly any other area along the I-25 corridor area.

I rather travel no longer than an hour one way. I plan to visit my mom at least twice a week. My housing budget is $1800 max.
