It's that time of year to start this one. Accuweather predicts 3-6 of snow for Tuesday, 08 Sept with a freeze warning for Tuesday night.

Tomato plants covered and planters moved into the garage. Beans soaking for a big pot of chili. We’re as ready as we’re going to be.

This is insane. But somehow this is the first early snow I don’t mind. Hopefully the snow at least helps to put those fires out because I could barely breathe yesterday.

In regards to those fires I'll take any way to do it! Am watching Fox31, it's the only Denver station that Mesa County gets here, they're showing the Loveland area snowing right now.

It’s just started sticking to the lawn. It was mostly sleet all day and melted immediately since it was mid-90s yesterday. It’s getting a little colder now and actually looks like snowflakes.

It’s still coming down in Greenwood Village after switching from snow to rain and back again. The trees are dusted, but the snow hasn’t been heavy enough to do any damage. Streets are just wet at this point. The grass is lightly covered except under the trees where the leaves block the snow from hitting the ground. Temp is hovering just above freezing.

This morning (wednesday) I'm seeing temperature 30-32, and dewpoint reported at 31ish - totally saturated air right around freezing point. We're surrounded by frozen, drizzly, wet air. Like walking around in a slushie.

Really? Accuweather shows great temps all month, unless you're driving into the mountains but even the Vail forecast seems tame.
