A 3rd party has gotten ahold of the mailing list from the Secretary of State's office.

This company offers to re list / re new your yearly Colorado LLC status with the Secretary of State. No doubt the third party will do a functional job but just be aware:
-their filing fees are x10 greater than if you re file directly with the Secretary of State office.
-this 3rd party sends hard copy USPS noitces that look official. Their noices are 3 to 4 months before your official renewal LLC date.

You should only re new your LLC directly with the Colorado Secretary of State office. Do this on line with a credit card and or in person or direct USPS mail to the Secretary of State office personal check. It should only cost $10 to renew per Colorado LLC.

the LLC re list re new process is called a "Periodic Report"

Business data including email addresses is public information. Anyone who wants to can scrape it up and use it pretty much any way they want.

And "services" offering to do simple government filings and so forth have been around for decades. They often go to great lengths to look official and required. Their partner game is the official-looking web domain "listings" that pretend to be a domain renewal but charge absurd amounts to "continue your listing in the official registry of US domains" or some useless thing.

No attentive business should fall for any of these. The only ones that do are clueless newbs and sole practitioners that barely know enough to file a business license, and companies that bulk-process all payables and let some of this nonsense slide through.

The best one I ever saw was a corporation registration thing that demanded some high payment ($300?) and wanted all corporate minutes and filings for the last three years.
