Thank you for the comments steveco. and charygart. If you open the very first thread that is the "sticky" thread at the top of all the posts, you will find tons of Denver pics by me and other forumers. Mikefrombackeast created the sticky thread for photos and commonly asked questions. He also added a search feature to it. There are some wonderful photos in there of views and the great neighborhoods here in Denver.

IMO, north Denver has the best vantage point of downtown. Speer Blvd nw of I-25 is an excellent location. Also, on Federal just a little north of Colfox. Another great one is a little pocket park by Tejon St and 30th Ave in the Highland neighborhood. One of the best ones I've seen, but I'm not sure how to get there and take a picture without getting killed, is the circular uphill onramp from I-25 northbound headed to the 6th Ave freeway west.

Default view of downtown

Are the neighborhoods north of Colfax 1-25, north of colfax not only great for downtown views but also nice to live in?

When I took that picture from the intersection of Zuni and Speer. I parked in a motel's parking lot. That's just a waste. You can get a great view of the downtown. But Instead this motel was not using the great view at all. On the side of the motel where it would have an excellent view of downtown, all they have just walls and doors to enter the rooms. I guess they are concerned about the noise, maybe. But still.

There's that huge church at Speer at 25, west of the freeway. If you ask, they'll let you go up on their roof. Perfect location IMO, you get a great shot of Elitches in front of the skyline as well.
