Grandview High in southeast Aurora has awesome programs. We have no connections to the school other than being fans of their programs and try to see every musical and theatrical event there.

What age group?

If elementary/middle, Parker Performing Arts is good and you don’t have to live in Douglas County. You do need to provide transportation to/from though, if outside the district.

Does it have to be suburbs?

If not, worth looking at Denver Public Schools.

We’re planning on relocating over the next couple of months and are just trying to figure out which area would be best, so I am open to all areas right now.

With DSA, keep in mind that your kid will have to audition. There’s no guarantees about getting in.

i'm not sure there IS one ”suburb” that offers exceptional theater education.

The better off school districts in well-to-do areas will have good theater programs in many schools. Check out the Cherry Creek School district, for one. There are specialty programs such as the Denver School of the Arts and Parker Performing Arts. (As posted above, DSA is competitive and by audition.) And one of the best theater programs is (not surprisingly) in a selective private school - Colorado Academy. Denver Kent, another elite private, also has good theater.

There are also very good summer enrichment programs offered through the Denver Center for the Performing Arts and the Wolf Theater at the JCC in Denver, among others.

Colorado Academy is building a new theater right now. It looks pretty amazing.

For what it is worth, Cherry Creek High School (CCSD) is a Grammy Foundation Signature School. Its music and theatre programs are top notch and very competitive.
