Chicago is 2.5 hours by plane...just saying. Denver is definitely not a place to live if you love to road trip to other cities often but thankfully there is no better location for flying to domestic locations.

Lakewood has long been a hub for the homeless, most who appear to have a serious drug problem. I'm referring to up and down Colfax Ave which is lined with crack motels that are likely rife with trafficking. The homeless druggies took over most, if not all of the bus shelters.

They caused the Rite Aid and Walgreens in the area to close over the years, I believe, due to the theft rate. There's been a large homeless encampment for years near the Super Walmart shopping plaza where Colfax and Wadsworth intersect. I don't notice it being as big of a problem in nearby Wheatridge, Arvada, Westminster, etc.

Yes, unfortunately downtown has really gone down hill since the pandemic.

You’re very welcome.

Also noticed recently what a MESS some of traffic calming measures have caused on some of the city streets. Those white plastic bollards that are meant to delineate space for bikes and also meant to make it harder for cars to make right turns are a visual mess.

There are some really good restaurants in the ‘burbs as well; it’s not all Applebees and Olive Garden. Anyway, whatever floats your boat; glad you are enjoying Denver!

We use Open Table and Uber. We drink at high end steakhouses. That's the only places we go into Denver for
