Trader Joe's, once opened, like 10 stores in an area minimum (so says same article).
To me, that implies one and perhaps two stores in COLO SPGS, which will be nice to have as an alternative to Whole Paycheck.

My assumption would be 8 in the Denver metro area, 2-4 in the Springs, 1 in Pueblo and 1 in Ft. Collins/Greeley. That is roughly equivalent to how they are distributed in Arizona which has a similar population distribution; of course, it has taken 15 years to get to this point...

2013? That's too slow! And odd that they're going to build the building. I've never seen a Trader Joe's where they actually built a new building. They normally go into strip malls where there was a vacant space.

14,000 square feet seems a little large as well, especially if they are not going to put their one full strength liquor license there (which is purely a guess on my part).

Actually, the second Trader Joe's in Albuquerque, was newly built for the store.

Maybe they're doing something new then. My experience with them has been in So. California, and I've been to a couple in Philly and now one in Atlanta.

I heard one may be going in at 8th and Colorado Blvd. in Denver (now an empty lot), so maybe that rumor is true then.

That would be a great location! Of course the traffic on Colorado Blvd. will become even more congested...

One of my neighbors, who works in some sort of retail development, told me last December that this was where it would be. This will work for me!
