haha, well, I'm not from the east, from the west, so thanks for the explanation on ginzo. I'm going to make it my word for the week and watch my west coast friends look at me weirdly.

female patrons. I'm female so don't really notice other women, not like I'm checking them out. My recollection and this is purely opinion based but I thought the women patrons were better looking than the bartenders.

The days of the mega disco are dying off for smaller venues. Polyesters was fun if you went in a group to relive 70's disco on the main floor, 80's downstairs and 90's upstairs. Prior to it being their, the club was called 23 Parrish (23rd street and Maxfield Parrish - not sure of the reason for the combination of the two). Now the large clubs are on South Broadway and 12th Avenue, Vinyl, Shelter, 2 AM or on Lincoln, the Church. This area is known as SoCo, South of Colfax. http://www.squidoo.com/denverCLUBS

Westword has all the info on the club scene - www.westword.com I don't frequent the clubs as I am not that young any more but on occassion will check them out. For the DNC, many groups are renting out Tracks for a huge party as it fits 3000 people in a large warehouse in the Five Points area. But the females here will be more interested in one another then then the boys.

As for ginzos, they have been sited in Lakewood and Arvada.

Have to check these out on a return, exploratory visit.

I want to see a "JJ Rockers-like" concept open up in Denver. The test tube shot (girls), Smitty, the music (Chilli Peppers, Lenny K., etc.) the whole works as it was back in Jersey. It would go over very well and work out well in Denver IMO.

that sounds really fun spincycle. It could be something for us people who aren't exactly young but not old either.

I am telling you Lakewood and Arvada, those folks never ventured beyond the big hair, Twisted Sister and White Snake days. Heavy Metal stopped their Rock from Rolling any further.

Coyote Ugly Blows. I went in their once, spent about 1 minute in front of the bar, and walked right back out.

I agree with wantomoveeast, the bartenders were fugly.
