what is your passion? If you live to work rather than work to live, the possibilites are endless.

The metro area is too big for us normal people to narrow down your search not knowing what you like and what you don't what you do for a living and what you do for fun.

Default Reply;

I am looking at the long-term goal of getting a middle school teaching position but am very insterested in snowboarding, golf, and other outdoor sports, as well as the arts/social sciences and any form of mid-twenties single life!, I am pulled to the area for economic and cultural reasons but still open minded, I was wondering which part of Denver can offer these expectations?

Are you looking for a suburban environment or do you want to live in the city?

As far as the city -- the best bets would be Washington Park, The Highlands, Stapleton and Lowry neighborhoods. All are good in terms of your requirements for culture, lower crime, and they are near downtown and other work centers.

The Denver Tech work center area (Centennial, SE Denver) is a good suburban area and has a lot of suburban shopping and restaurants, and many many suburban office parks within the area.

The Hwy 36 Corridor is another good work center (Broomfield, Louisville) with a cluster of suburban office buildings off of Hwy 36. This is another suburban area, but is close to Boulder with great views and a lot of outdoor fun. Of course, anywhere in Denver is close to outdoor fun.

I'm from suburban Detroit but went to college in a more urban area; urban or suburban is not a major concern now becuase I am more worried about getting a job to live off untill I begin teaching there in the fall. I was told of a few places such as UPS/Fedex, airports, rental cars companies, travel agencies? Do these job exist? Are there really any other decent paying jobs like this in the Denver area? Anything else out there in that $10-15 hour range? I really don't want to wait untill I get a teaching job out there to move and miss all the winter action!, please help?

UPS is always looking for people. I believe the car rental agencies are always looking for help as well. You should easily find something over $10/hr.

Thanks, I am tempted to just go ahead and empty the bank account and move at times becuase most of the job openings on these job boards require in-person applications/interviews and this has given me a better sense of security doing this!
