I'm moving to Denver in three weeks for a new job. I'd like to get involved in the community through volunteering. Are there any resources for finding places to volunteer? Anyone have suggestions for places to volunteer? I want to see the city, meet people and do my part to help.

Hi! and welcome. What a nice way to start getting to know the community, via volunteering. I would recommend that you check at your local branch library for resources.
Consider volunteering at the library:

I also think there is a huge need for volunteering with at risk youth.

Hi Georgiasmom, if you want to see the city and meet people, maybe volunteering with the police department might be something you would be interested in.
You should be able to call them up to find more information on how to get involved and when the next volunteer academy starts.
