Thank you everyone for the detailed information. I checked out all the schools (your link was very helpful ziovier!!) and it looks like I've missed the deadline for the Fall season for most of them, unfortunately. I've decided to take classes in Web Design vs Computer Science and it seems like that limits my choices for schools quite a bit here in Denver (i.e. University of Denver School of Professional and Continuing Studies and Regis Professional Program do not offer Web Design). I think I'll start a new thread with the topic of "Web Design Schools" instead of "Computer Science" to get some more input from locals. But thank you to all who responded to this post, I greatly appreciate it!!!!

University of Denver does offer web design and development -- it's 'hidden' in the Master's in Computer Information Systems or the Grad Certificate. You can focus on Web Design and Development Technologies as part of that degree or certificate. They offer Flash classes, Web graphics classes, Dynamic Content classes, Javascript, and the "Web Site Design and Management" and "Advanced Web Site Design and Management" classes introduce you to HTML, CSS, Adobe Dreamweaver (I think it's the tool they use), web scripting, etc.

I don't know how the DU program stacks up against the others, but I chose it because they offer in-person evening classes, the price isn't horrendous, and I live near it, so it's convenient for me to stop by at the lab if I happen to need a piece of software I don't own at home.

I looked at the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design certificate and it didn't seem to me, at least, that the continuing ed certificate program went into the level of detail that I was looking for. I'm not knocking the program by any means -- you've got to pick what works best for you.
