Planning on relocating to Denver area and have set our sites on Highlands Ranch. Would appreciate and suggestions or help in this locale. We are presently living outside of Boston ina suburb. Both in late 50's and would like to try something different. How is the job market there? Not looking for major jobs - just enought to supplement income. Have daughter and son-inlaw in Littleton.

Default Move to Highlands Ranch?

Right now I work part-time in a medical office doing managed care. Husband is a mechanic but wants something less strenuous. I supposed retail of some type for him and I am open to medical again, retail or even a starbucks might be interesting. Originally we considered Castle Rock but we will be visiting in a couple of weeks and planning on looking at the town center homes (shea). All suggestions would be appreciated even other locals not far from that area. Will we be the minority as far as being in late 50's?

I think I read that developers are planning a seniors community in Ridgegate right next to the new hospital on Lincoln/I-25. There are alot of nice townhomes around the vicinity as well, which I know alot of mature people own (my parents used to own there). Around I-25 and County Line to Lincoln there is soooo much retail, I cannot imagine you and your husband wouldn't find something there. So to answer your question, no you won't feel out of place being in the 50s age group.

Default Employment opportunities in Highlands Ranch Area?

Not quite sure is Ridgegate part of Highlands Ranch? Townhouse is definitely what we are interested in. Will be exploring that area on our trip.

Ridgegate is in Lone Tree. There are a few townhome communities in HR. Prices range from $130,000's to $290,000's depening on age, size & location. There are two age restricted communities in HR one called Glen Eagles on the Links golf course and another more northern between University & Broadway.

Just curious; can you actually work at Starbucks full time and afford to live in HR (rent or own)? If so, the pay must be good. WoW

There seems to be a lot of medical office in the HR area, and Littleton Adventist Hospital is close by. There is a medical office complex at the hospital, and one on County Line and Broadway. Skyridge Medical Center in Lone Tree, too.
