I am a little more apprehensive but feel that it's time for a change and some adventure in life. I wish there was some single newby group you could join. I have been researching groups out there and found that there are a few events and activity groups and there is a website called meetup.com that organizes all kinds of acitivities in every state. We are driving out there in March to look around and get used to the area and then moving this summer. Good luck to you and maybe we will end up in the same group one day!
where in atlanta? i'm also in atlanta at the moment and planning a move to denver this summer.

Well then I don't blame you for moving! You'll like Colorado though, it's a lot prettier than those "mountains" up in north GA.

I'd join a group for people moving to Denver. I grew up in Morrison, but have been living in Wisconsin for 15 years. I'm 26 and trying to get out there this spring.

It's intimidating not really knowing the area (what neighborhood to look for housing in, how to find a job - that I would like - with almost no one to network with) Not to mention the difficulty of figuring out how to either a) save enough money to go or b) get a job from here.

well if you find one, let me know! i'm in the same boat you are...saving money and looking for a job when i live halfway across the country and have practically no contacts (aside from my aunt, uncle, my cousin and his wife).

RIGHT ON SKIMOORE55!!!! You said it!! you ARE very bold for what you are doing and GOOD FOR YOU!! I completely 100% agree with you about the boring people being the ones afraid to make a move and wonder "what if"? I am NOT gonna be one of those people, so I am going for it too!!! I have no real reason to move there accept I like the climate, the adverture and new experiences! and I am young and single so WHY NOT!!!???

Hey Guys - LOLL - my description was misleading, sorry. what I really meant was "sweet, athletic, rugged, single, straight, sexy men in their 30's that like sporty, athletic, feminine women with great peronalities and a pretty face." NOT a burley, smelly, hairy, granola guys that lives in a cabin in the mountains.

Thank you Kristen! I was hoping to hear back from a woman as well. I am leaving OC precisley cuz I am NOT fake or consumed with material things and that is the M.O. around here. I am just tired of it and want to change my scenery and meet some friendly, down-to-earth people. I think I would love it there cuz I love sports, skiiing/boarding, hiking and enjoying the outdoors. I am not "granola style" by any means and I appreciate a well-groomed man that smells GOOD!
