Here is a link to schools in Colorado.

Colorado School Performance Maps

Roxborough is a lovely area and is family oriented. The schools are in Douglas County School district which you can learn about from the above link.

My ex was from Roxborough. It's a very exclusive -- snobby, really -- community. Far more millionaires than not and nary a house with a BMW or a Lexus. But the mountains are beautiful and it's in a great location if you work at Lockheed.

Depends what you're going for, really.

There are lot of Lockheed families in South Jeffco, Highlands Ranch (central to west side), Trailmark & in Rox - both the park & the village.

thanks for the soil info. i've been hearing that one of the benefits of a house 15-20 years old is that you know they are not having soil/foundation issues like some of the new ones. i think we might look in the highlands ranch & littleton area. we don't want to be too far away as we are inexperienced with driving in the snow...
