Can you mountain bike on trails in the winter time around Denver or Boulder? And if so what condition will the trails be like: muddy, icy? Thanks just wondering. Still sitting here in Chicago freezing, thinking on going back to Socal or Denver. Being able to Mountain bike there in the winter, might sell me.

Last winter I created a new sport-- snowbiking through my neighborhood. Unfortunately I don't have a picture. It was pretty fun actually.

It's actually quite doable if you're treading over fresh powder over the ground. If you get stuck in iced up gunk or snowpiles it's practically impossible to peddle through.

If you like snow-biking so much then this is the bike you need:

I'm moving to Lakewood very soon and curious where there are some good trails....

I'm bringing my cross bike (want to eventually race CX when my lungs adjust to your thin air) and looking for any kind of path: paved, limestone, easy dirt, ETC.

If I can swing it though, I'm going to be replacing my old MTB for probably a Santa Cruz. There good MTB trails close to Lakewood?

Any feedback is great!
