I've lived here all my life and so have most of my friends. If you're from somewhere else you're more inclined to meet folks from somewhere else, too. I feel sorry for all the transplants dealing with the travel BS during the holidays to be with their families and old friends. I consider myself fortunate to have all of that communal warmth within a 60 mile radius.

I would say my close friends are evenly split between natives/long-term residents and transplants. It's not like I'm seeking out transplants or anything.

I don't travel during the holidays, thank god. My communal warmth consists of my woman and the kids. That's all I need.

Happy Holidays!

Currently Denver's undergoing a cultural transformation- people are paying attention to the city since the Democratic convention. It's a center for the arts, music, and it has the 10th largest downtown in the USA. There's lots to do, and it's easy to get around as well. Recently, the Botanic Gardens underwent some changes- they're spectular now and among the best in the country.
