Not to detract from the OP, but it looks like we need a Chuck Norris thread to share our favorite quotes!!!

Default Evicting a boyfriend on the lease-Thanks!!!

Thanks to all who responded. After contacting my local PD and my lawyer, I have decided to file a restraining order keeping him from myself and the property. I spoke with my landlord and he has agreed to start eviction papers on my BF as soon as I file the restraining order. This seems to be my only legal option if I want to keep living on the property, we only signed 2 months ago and I put down all of the deposit.

Wow, well thanks for coming back and updating us Lauren. One question that sounds bad but isn't meant to be...why on earth would you sign a lease with a guy who acts like that? I'm sure he just didn't begin acting like this last week? Were you disallusioned and thought maybe he'd change?

Honestly, I knew he drank, but never to the extent that I am seeing now. I found out recently that he has been hiding his drinking, I found many bottles hidden in the house and he has been leaving work early to drink. I truely feel fooled. He did not present himself this way for the entire year we were going out, but we also did not live together. Well, onward and upward. Thanks for all the info!

OK, I get it now. I wasn't trying to offend and I don't think you were (hope so). I went through the same thing. Living together sure does bring light to a lot of stuff. Just be thankful you took the time to get to know him and move in before you did something permanent (like tie the knot!).

Alcoholism is a serious problem. It doesn't make you a bad person, just someone with problems. I hope he finds his way.

Good luck to you!

Great job Lauren. I'm glad you're getting a RO. This will definitely show him you're serious. I'm glad your landlord was understanding as well. Best to you!

Wow, a really well disguised alcoholic loser you had there!
but seriously, at this they and age (and especially considering all economic and social issues) we need to be realistic, almost everyone over the legal age of drinking drinks. I hardly ever drink but never ever drink alcohol? that is just not normal, that person might be from another planet.
Of course moderation is key and most drink socially but there is a very huge line between social drinking and drinking before noon.

What you need to do is, hook up with WTME and her Happy Hour gang and meet some real and normal people. Heck, you might even find a nice guy who would not require an evinction after moving in together!
