ok I don't drive, but I need to get up to colorado springs on friday evening and get back to thornton by sunday evening, now there are some things I've found but nothing that goes on the weekends and anything that does (greyhound) costs too much, can anybody help me? I don't have a car but I can walk/bike pretty far, any tips would be greatly appreciated

FREX also doesn't run on Sunday.

There is also apparently an airport shuttle between the springs and DIA, if you could get yourself to DIA.

You could also try the Mexican bus companies headed south. They're much better than greyhound in terms of price and quality of service. One example is Autobuses Americanos, but there's about three or four others that are similar. They don't make a lot of stops between Denver and the Mexican border, but I think they will make a quick stop upon request.

could you take RTD to downtown denver and then go from there?

as far as i know, though, you would have to wait until monday morning to come back to denver.

I live right by you. Bus service is extremely limited IMHO. You can, however, take the 92 to Thornton Park n Ride. From there you can take the 120x which runs pretty late, but no later than midnight. Once you are at Market, you have more options. So check for routes from Market St. and/or Civic Center. I bet there's something.

By the way, Google maps has an excellent "transit" service that will figure out all the transit connections you need to take. It knows all about RTD's and Colorado Springs' transit options, including FREX.
