It's all relative. Being an older neighborhood, and not an exclusive kind of community, you'll have some cracks in the sidewalk, occasional homes that aren't painted as often as they should be, an unmowed lawn or two, maybe an occasional rowdy teenager or two (remember little kiddies don't stay little kiddies forever, brand new homes don't stay brand new forever). Along with that comes mature trees. Cottonwood is also right next to the Cherry Creek trail, which is a wonderful bike path/ multi use trails. As for Aurora, I'm one of the biggest proponents of Aurora on this forum.

we were looking on line and saw some townhomes called Town and Country. The pictures all looked pretty nice, but I really don't know ... anything can look good in a picture. Do you know anything about these townhomes/area? It is in the older part of Parker right by downtown.

They are pretty old - I don't know what they look like on the inside. The schools are good. Pioneer elem. school is fairly close. The middle school Cimarron and the HS Legend just opened this year. There have been some articles on Legend as I believe their textbooks are online and supposedly they are focusing on being a technology focused school. The waterpark you mentioned is literally a block or two away and the library is very close also. Couldn't tell you much about the neighborhood as far as actual living. Could be a bit "gritty" (to steal vegaspilgrim's term) - but, as we both mentioned, that term is relative. I would def look to rent before buying.

the insides look real nice. New wood flooring, granit coutertops, covered patios, finished basements ... the units I saw pics of seem to be well cared for. I just don't want to live in the one unit that is cared for and the rest are dumps if you know what I mean. The pictures of the grounds looked pretty well groomed as well, but as I said before that is just from pictures

It's all relative. Being an older neighborhood, and not an exclusive kind of community, you'll have some cracks in the sidewalk, occasional homes that aren't painted as often as they should be, an unmowed lawn or two, maybe an occasional rowdy teenager or two (remember little kiddies don't stay little kiddies forever, brand new homes don't stay brand new forever). Along with that comes mature trees. Cottonwood is also right next to the Cherry Creek trail, which is a wonderful bike path/ multi use trails. As for Aurora, I'm one of the biggest proponents of Aurora on this forum.
