I have one large dog about 75lbs and 2 small dogs under 20lbs. Does anyone know of any nice townhomes/apartments/condos around 1000-1400 per month that will allow 3 dogs?

I'd go for a house with a yard.

Southern Denver areas, near Littleton. I would be willing to be 30 mins away from Littleton.

It will be difficult but not impossible to find a landlord who is willing to rent to someone with three dogs. A good place to start would be to post an ad in the "housing wanted" section of craigslist, that way you can explain your situation and how well your dogs are behaved (or not?) and maybe even offer additional pet deposit to ease the potential landlord's fears of dogs destroying the place. I'm sure you'll find something. Good luck!

here's what you do. when you talk to them, tell them right up front that you understand that they might have some concerns and that you back your dogs and you're willing to put your money where your mouth is with a big security deposit. we rented with three cats and two rabbits. yep, crazy. we offered the guy 1000 extra security deposit. he said $500 was fine. we got our money back but it was reassuring to him that we were willing to back up any damage that our animals might do.

Great advice! I will do that for sure! I am currently a home owner and understand the concerns people have with renting to folks with pets.

I also forgot about this site -- the Dumb Friends League is an animal shelter in SE Denver and they have a website that indexes pet-friendly rentals in the area. There are probably other complexes and properties that are pet friendly but aren't on the list, but this is a start!

Pet-friendly rentals in the Denver-metro Area : Dumb Friends League (http://www.ddfl.org/paw.htm - broken link)
