I'm moving to Denver soon and would like to learn the characteristics of the different neighborhoods. I'm single and 37 years old and would like to live around other single people my age.

I've lived in Houston before, and I liked the Montrose area and other places inside the 610 Loop. I've lived in St. Louis and liked the Central West End and U. City Loop areas. Does anyone know what neighborhoods in Denver would be like the areas I just mentioned? One website I looked at described them as "artsy/funky." Hopefully someone out there can tell me where the areas like these are in Denver, where single people my age live.

There's a ton of threads here that will give you all kinds of info.

Since I know nothing about Houston or St Louis, I hope I can help you out. If you're looking for neighborhoods with a high concentration of artists, I would look at the Lincoln Park neighborhood around Santa Fe Drive, the Highland neighborhood, (west side of I-25 near the Speer interchange, and westward), Areas around Coors Field, Capitol Hill, Governor's Park (just south of Capitol Hill), Cheesman Park, Congress Park, Washington Park, Bonnie Brae, and the list keeps going on. Like I said, check some of the older threads for more info on each of these neighborhoods.
