We are relocating to Denver and are currently looking at some apartments in the Hampden area near Hutchison Park and Tamarac Drive. We are trying to figure out if this is a safe area of town because we don't want to be in the 'hood. Any help?

I think this is a fairly safe semi-suburban area, I don't think you would have any problems. There are plenty of well established neighborhoods, as well as some good retail facilities in that area (there is a large Whole Foods store located at Tamarac and Hampden).

Another good thing about that particular area is the close proximity to the freeway and public transportation. There is a light rail stop at I-25 and Hampden, just a couple miles west of Tamarac.
