I'm moving to Denver and just wanted to find out the best neighborhoods for a young (30's) single, professional to live in.
How is the diversity downtown?

Lots of diverse businesses downtown - law, banking, brokering, admin, newspaper, govt, judicial, transportation, hospitality...

not much as far a housing.

Denver has some areas that are fairly ethnically diverse (for example, East Denver, West Denver, and central Aurora) and plenty of areas that have a lot of yuppies (which would include downtown). Unfortunately in this town the two do not usually coincide.

What else do you like?
What would you like to avoid?

Just because an area is "diverse" doesn't mean that over time that it doesn't change. And vice versa. Most areas in Denver were not "diverse" now they are more so. Some areas that were "diverse" have changed to be less so.
