In mid-June, I'm planning a week and a half long trip to take a look at different front range towns to move to. Move date is August. The towns I'd like to visit from north to south are:
Louisville area, Highlands Ranch, Castle Rock, Parker. Can anyone suggest a good "homebase" hotel location? It may work out best to stay in a hotel to the south of Denver while touring that area and then switch to a hotel to the north. Does anyone have any suggestions what the best way to do this would be? Or any hotels or towns to make a "homebase" recommendations? I'll be traveling with my 8-yr old daugher. I'm also going to try to find a house rental in the town that seems like the best choice for us. thanks!

We just spent 5 days at the Residence Inn (part of Marriot chain) in Highlands Ranch. Hotel was very nice and clean. Our room had a great view of the mountains and a good breakfast was included.

There is an AMC 24 theater right next door and several restaurants on teh street.

We were able to easily tour from Golden to Castle Rock and Parker and never felt too far from anything even when going down town.

Default Hotel Suggestion

When I moved here and was looking around, I stayed at the Bradford Homesuites in the Tech Center area, in-between Arapahoe and Dry Creek. My company let me stay there for a month while I looked for a home. It's a great place. Clean, good amenities, quiet area and a relatively good location(of course, the drive to Louisville will be longer than points south).
