Walking out of Apple Jack tonight, I feel I can do better on prices of liquor. True? Any suggestions?

Their beer selection is nice, and the prices seem right...

I would say the Argonaut on Colfax:

Argonaut Liquor - Buy Wine Online - Colorado Wine Store

But I stopped going shortly after they opened in the new space. Prices are higher, the door is in a stupid, stupid, stupid location and the old building remains in place thus making parking a nightmare.

I've found that for selection and prices, Argonaut ranks way up there. I usually shop at Mayfair Liquors though (near Colfax and Krameria). The prices are a little higher and the selection isn't enormous like Argonaut, but it's closer to my house and the employees are super nice.

Could also try Daveco up off of 168th, near the Costco. I've never actually been in there, but I've heard the selection is ridiculous. Total Beverage has a decent selection as well, but their prices are nothing really special.

Daveco, not everything is cheap, walk around and find the stuff that's on special. It's not unusual for there to be a few bottles that are $15-20 off.

Argonaut is the cheapest I've found by far - both beer and wine. Never bought hard liquor there before. Great selection, and I agree that the door is in a stupid place - in the alley! If they tear down the old place and build a new building in its place, I believe it will have to be up to the street like the new building due to zoning changes on Colfax. Then the door will really feel like it's down the alley.

Someone just told me about Daveco today. I'm going to have to check it out!

I don't know, maybe I'm crazy but the doors at Argonaut don't bother me at all. If they faced Colfax, I'd just have to walk farther from the back parking lot to reach them.
