LOL, I remember down on the beach in Mexico, we would spend all day there, and go up to a vendor on the beach, and they would serve the fish on a plate, (no tortilla) head to tail. I thought it was bueno.

I grew up in Texas and never had a fish taco until I was in Cali, think it must be a Baja thingy.

In Denver, I've only had them at Wahoo's. In Hawaii, I've had Maui Tacos, the maui fish tacos are grilled and so much better than fried!

Good luck on your quest.

Don't know if they have Islands restaurants in Denver (it's a chain) but their fish tacos are better than Rubio's in my opinion, and I used to eat at Rubio's about once a week for five years until...

I've eaten a lot of fish tacos and shrimp tacos in Baha as well as a few places in the U.S. and they were all a bit different and all were good.

The first time I ever ate lobster was in Baja and it was chewy and fishy smelling. Totally grossed me out and I've never liked lobster since. And any fish with scales or a head is totally out of the question!

That was rock lobster and it was most likely not very fresh and was overcooked. I like crab meat much better than lobster but they both make good tacos. I like my fish tacos with small batter fried fish pieces.
