Rudy68, just be sure not to fall for any of the rental scams on Craigslist! When we moved here and looked for a rental, there were a ton of idiots on CL with pics of houses that they didn't own renting them for super cheap to get suckers to fall for it. Just be careful!

I agree that Highlands Ranch, Centennial, and Parker might be good fits. Also good advice to pick the school, if that's important, then pick the area. For easy access to DIA you can't beat E-470. I live in Parker and we can be parked in 45 minutes.

try morrison golden area for a pretty good mix of newer and established within reach of "stuff" as you call it. close to airport, denver, schools, shopping, etc. my daughter and her new family live there and they love it. we are from nyc. good luck. please allow for the altitude adjustment which could take as much as 3 to 4 weeks. drink lots and lots and lots of water, and try to cut back on caffeine and stuff that dehydrates you. it will go a long way in your acclimation to a mile or more above sea level. enjoy your resettling and feel free to contact me at facebook.com

You are right on with Highlands Ranch. However, Centennial is great too, and I'd stick to the area right north of County Line Road. Some of that area would be considered Littleton, and it's all very close to Denver Christian. I'm a teacher in that area.
