I'm thinking of taking a job at Children's Hospital? How long would it take me to commute from Roxborough Park to The Children's Hospital? What is the best route early am (6-7) and going home (4-5)?

Do you live there now or just considering it?

That drive would take forever at those hours.

The route would be Santa Fe Drive (highway 85) to C470 to I-25 to I-225, and you would be joined by millions of others doing the same thing. Ok, maybe not millions, but it would seem like it. You asked about the "best" route; I don't know of any other way to get there.

You are looking at between an hour and an hour 15 on a normal, clear day. Snow will add another 15 minutes as long as there are no wrecks. In the summer, add another 15-20 due to the blinding glare from the sun being directly in your eyes as you go down 470. Roxborough is pretty, but unless you are working on the southeastern half of Denver, it can be a bear to get in and out of.

Unfortunately, rush hour from the southern part of Denver actually starts at 6:00am. 4:00pm coming home is also the peak. If you could change your work hours from 6:00am to 3:00pm then you will cut the commute time down to 45 minutes +/-15. By 4:00pm, 470 westbound will usually be backed up past Yosemite. By 4:15 it starts backing up I-25 southbound. From the north, Santa Fe is also at crawl speed by then too.

Wow, that's a nasty commute. If it can't be helped, I would lean towards staying on E-470 vs. 25 and 225, and then cutting over west. It will get expensive, though.
