Is CUdenver's Architecture program worth my out-of-state tuition? Arch program get me a reasonable job after?

This school is one of the cheapest schools (in terms of tuition) I got into. I called the program and spoke to my professors, and it seems like it is accredited by the Arch Board for a reason. It is in fact, like any other accredited Arch Schools. Saw a couple of portfolios from CUdenver's alumnis and they are good. But I dont know if my out-of-state tution is worth my education and enjoyment of Denver. I plan to apply for in-state residency after a year.

It's a big mistake to count on qualifying for in-state tuition here after being in state as a student for a year. The residency rules (here and most everywhere else in the US) are fairly strictly enforced, and they are designed to not allow people who come to the state as students to gain residency for tuition purposes solely on the grounds of their presence as students.

Do some research, and talk to some who have tried before...it's not easy to do. The people I know that successfully established residence lived and worked in-state as non-students for a year prior to starting college.

w/r/t your very good question "is it worth it?" you should also do some in-depth research. More and more potential students are finding that the costs of some college degrees far exceeds the probable payback over their lifetimes. I can't offer specifics on architecture...but I suggest you carefuly consider the kinds of jobs, the number of grads that can't find decent jobs after college, and the future possibilities w/r/t well-paying careers in a nation trying to unbury itself from deep, deep debt.

It is somewhat easier to get in-state status as a graduate student, but you still have to do everything possible. My DD had a friend who for some odd reason did not register her car in Colorado, but had done everything else. She was turned down by CU for in-state residency, appealed it and was granted residency on appeal. DD had a lot of friends in grad school here who were out-of-state for one year, then reclassifed.
