Parker and Castle Rock, yes, Littleton, very much a part of the metro area.

I'd suggest Castle Rock as well. I pulled up the metrolist for Castle Rock and there are at about 40 properties for sale from $225k-$249k.

I live in Castle Rock and commute to the DTC (not sure where your husband will be located) and it takes about 20minutes. It will vary depending on the neighborhood and time of commute - I'm usually in the office by 7am. Castle Rock is very family friendly, low crime and has a nice downtown with some enjoyable restaurants. From what I've read, the Douglas County school system is good - no first hand experience as no children.

I agree with Katiana that it is 'part' of the metro area but it is much more suburban than other areas in South Denver.

Let me know if you have any additional questions on CR as you do your research.

Default Boulder is a realy nice Area

Boulder is a nice area. it is just west of being between Denver and Fort Collins. Although it is a bit of a college town, otherwise thorton or broomfield are also nice areas and less of a college scene.
