Hi! We're considering a move to Des Moines. I keep reading that West Des Moines is the place to be, but we saw a nice townhome online in Pleasant Hill near Copper Lake. Anyone have an opinion on Pleasant Hill? Thank you!

I live in Pleasant Hill. It's your typical suburb with a lot of new cookie cutter homes, and some older homes. It's nice, safe, clean, and has good schools. Any of the development around Copper Creek will be in the Southeast Polk school district, which is pretty good. It's really no different than any of the western suburbs IMO.

I'll second Pleasant Hill. We considered a couple of places there before settling on Huxley a few years back.

Not sure yet about work. Downtown Des Moines for my husband, I suppose.
