Hi. I am looking for options for a party and came across this place. They have a billiard room that interests me and I am wondering if anyone has been to a party there or has an opinion of the place. I was also looking at Court Ave brewing but there is only a banquet room and seems a little boring.

Any other good options for a casual party (about 30-40 people)?

Thanks!

Yes, I've been to several group gatherings at Raccoon River. It is a great spot for parties and they have very good food/beer. If you're taking advantage of the billiards, I believe you can reserve a few billiard tables and they have a pretty good setup, so you can have sitting nearby for those not playing.

Other options - Buzzard Billy's and/or AllPlay. Depending on your group, you can do kind of a Dave n' Buster's type outing (i.e...food and games). Think they also have lazer tag if that trips your trigger.

Johnny's Hall of Fame might be a consideration - decent food, and some good bar games.

Thanks for the help. I will check on those others you mention. I was also looking at Big Dog Billiards.....any opinion on that place? They moved to a new location at NE 14th and Broadway about six months ago.

Never been but judging by location, it is probably a completely different crowd....guessing more of a blue collar/guys coming out for beers after work, regulars.
