Why are people so shady here? (Des Moines: real estate, neighborhoods, school district)

You're politeness is definitely fake; look at you, look at what you say, here, that you speak your mind. So people sense that. People are not stupid. Whoever spoke like you, has the same problems like you.

Of course! So for all the people that think Iowa natives can be cold, sterile, and shady there must be something wrong with THEM. It must be the way we are treating the natives. There's no possible chance that they are unwelcoming. Come on!

OK, so you've met other transplants. Why hasn't that been the start of the social circle you're looking for? Wouldn't they be experiencing the same issue(s) you are?

This is the first time I have seen this question. It is a start. I have even met Iowa natives that are awesome but unfortunately I have encountered a lot of ugly, even in trying to start a facebook page.
