Everyone knows you write or type things down when you're upset and/or frustrated, its an outlet, somehow it was turned into thats how I must treat people in person. It's elementary

So let me make this CLEAR I know not all 600,000 people in Des Moines are cold, shady, and unwelcoming. But, there has been a majority of the Iowans I've met that have been that way. If you see this as a personal attack so be it.
You're politeness is definitely fake; look at you, look at what you say, here, that you speak your mind. So people sense that. People are not stupid. Whoever spoke like you, has the same problems like you.

Perhaps it can be laid to rest.

Of course! So for all the people that think Iowa natives can be cold, sterile, and shady there must be something wrong with THEM. It must be the way we are treating the natives. There's no possible chance that they are unwelcoming. Come on!

Camille, will the 3rd time be a charm if I ask you this question again? Ready interested in an answer to this.

OK, so you've met other transplants. Why hasn't that been the start of the social circle you're looking for? Wouldn't they be experiencing the same issue(s) you are?

This is the first time I have seen this question. It is a start. I have even met Iowa natives that are awesome but unfortunately I have encountered a lot of ugly, even in trying to start a facebook page.

Hmmmm... The question was asked three, count 'em, three times.

Start a thread, don't read all the posts, rant at anyone who's post you do happen to read.

If we met I don't think we'd have a conversation. For some reason I doubt you'd consider me someone you'd want to talk to.
