Well, of course it is. That's because the Des Moines art museum is the same as San Francisco's.

Ironically, you would not tell that to two men who are actually gay. Then it would be insulting, lol.

Not to any of the gay guys I know. They would find it quite hilarious!

And, here I thought Des Moines was the most gay-friendly city on the planet according to Forbes list of "Top 50 Gay-Friendly Downtowns That Are Within Reasonable Driving Distance of a Cornfield" where Des Moines was ranked #1.

I guess Des Moines folks like to say they're sophisticated and tolerant, but still view homosexuality as a pejorative you can throw at someone on a message board who isn't absolutely gay about Des Moines. Ironic.

On this forum (anywhere on City-data), find a topic where two gay men agree on something, tell them to get a room.

See how well it goes over.

It makes me sad that you have no sense of humor. Makes for a very dull existence, no?

I'm not sure what you are trying to say here. Have you never heard the expression "get a room" before? It has nothing to do with being gay/straight or any other. Wait, must be a Des Moines only thing, right?

Des Moines is very gay friendly, at it hosts a hell of a Pride Fest which I attended this past weekend.

Oh yeah? How is it better than Burlington's Pride Fest? Wait. Wait. Let me guess...

It has more gay people than Burlington's Pride Fest. And, the parade goes well into evening whereas Burlington's stops at 5:30 PM. That's what you get for being gay in the wrong Iowa city, huh?
