Is there any concern as to whether the "City Market" (?) on the west side of downtown near Sherman Hill will be negatively impacted by Hy-Vee's proposed new downtown location? I know that there is already a large grocery store nearby the market on Ingersoll.
Yes, the 3rd store is right in Fitchburg, WI close to my work. I won't be going there because Woodman's is still far cheaper item for item in the traditional grocery store sphere.

Yes . . . and I've got to go visit a Woodman's. I'm almost out of Faygo Rock and Rye.

I'm trying to plan a long weekend in Madison when the weather warms up a tad. +14 isn't the best for sight seeing! (:

I'm headed up to the WI Northwoods tomorrow (Boulder Junction region). I'm used to the cold so 0F doesn't seem that bad now.

I think it's a mistake not to be connected to the Skywalk. Maybe someday.

I think that is ideal as well, but it will be just across the street from an access point so I don't think it will hurt business any.

And it's not a done deal yet! They might do something about access to the Skywalk. Others offline have voiced that concern, as well.

Aren't they not allowed to build a skywalk over Court? Are we thinking about a tunnel?

Correct. Skywalks can not be built across Court Ave. Reasoning: would interfere with historic nature of the district and it would also obstruct a view of the Courthouse.

I heard Mayor DeBlasio is trying to get a Zombie Burger, though. You can't buy publicity like that.
