Too often people lump schools together and make judgments: e.g... suburban schools are better than the city schools. This demonstrates why there is value in looking at individual schools vs just considering districts. For a person relocating to the Des Moines metro, you'd miss out on considering some of the nicest traditional mature walkable neighborhoods in the metro if you immediately eliminated all of Des Moines by making a broad brush conclusion of suburban schools yes, city schools no.
