Looking for best DSM/area school for a graphic arts high schooler (Des Moines: renting)

Background: Nothing is certain yet, but we may be moving to the Des Moines area for a job (job is downtown; we're not opposed to a commute time of up to 40 minutes or so). I worked in the metro twenty years ago, but the city has changed quite a bit since then.
My son is currently a freshman in high school on a block schedule. This block he's taking traditional 2D art and intro to computer art. There are MANY opportunities at his current school for advancement from there. In my looking around, I haven't really found the same sort of arts focus at schools in the area.

Which schools in or near the metro are the best for someone with an arts/computer focus? We're currently looking at the Waterbury area or renting downtown, but a good school fit is important enough to possibly change that.
