I am almost all online at this point, wouldn't mind a bank with a branch.

Key features:

Quick information when using debit card available online. Bank of America is pretty quick with this.

Billpay to other banks, etc, is electronic and fast. Bank of America also has this.

Transfer money to and from account.

Bank of America allows me to key in my own descriptions for the large debit card descriptions, but when I download to quicken it keeps the same long crappy description. Any other banks out there have better services in your experience?

DUde...stick with Bank of America...it's one of the best Banks out there...and stick with what you know :-D...I got Bank of America and couldn't be happier (just wish they would build more convenient locations in Des Moines....they are always in the quirkiest locations....the ones that make the most sense are the south side one (Army Post Rd.) and Valley West Drive...who honestly will go out of their way (besides me lol) to go to the Bank of America behind Merle Hay Mall...or the one off Ingersoll across from Dahl's...the downtown skywalk one is okay...i'm ranting lol sorry.

I'm not sure if they have US Bank in Des Moines (they have them in Ames and Cedar Rapids, so I'm assuming so), but it is one of the most financially solvent banks out there today (I believe it is #2 in the nation). There is a rating system for financial solvency of American banks, and US Bank received five stars out of five. I have been with US Bank since my freshmen year of college and they have good customer service.

I believe US Bank offers everything you mentioned except for the last item about keying debit card descriptions. Although maybe they do and I just don't know about it.

Wells Fargo seems to be doing very well. They limited the amount of sub prime borrowing to a managable level and have yet to be affected by the current situation.
